One of the most beautiful times of year in the mountains of North Carolina, is when the fall makes our hills come alive with color. The warm hues of the leaves inspire us decorating the venue. We love fall-timed weddings, so that we can create those cozy, warm yet elegant environments we crave this time of year!
So, here are some of our favorite wedding and event looks during the fall season, that will really set you apart!
Make it bold.
One of the most classic decor ideas is using mums to accent the tree leaf colors. They so naturally compliment the colors of autumn that they are a lovely floral choice.
Sunflowers are another choice that naturally come in beautiful fall tones. Their size and impact is one of my personal favorite reasons for incorporating them into the venue decor!
Another fun aspect of both mums and sunflowers is the boldness of their color! If you want fall decor that isn’t muted, sunflowers can capture that bright red, orange or yellow and make that bold statement inside while the maple trees outside set the tone for the event.
Make it Western.
Fall colors along with the brisk wind just makes for a beautiful setting for a western styled event! From pink-tinged roses and pampas grass to neutral colored hydrangeas… throw in some cow hides, leather, and boots for a great decor style! Personally, I love some lace and a little glitz thrown in for an elevated western look. Here in the mountains, we can’t get enough classy, western events and love a classy party that takes place in a barn (thats heated and has running water of course!) Throw in some horses and its a real party!
Make it rosey.
If bright colors aren’t your thing, a lovely new trend this year is the color rose. It’s truly a beautiful addition to your closet, floral arrangements or event decor! It softens its environment, and when it comes to fall decor, it adds a feminine touch in an extremely elegant way. For a fall wedding, I love the look of neutral colors with a little rose thrown in! And an added bonus, It blends beautifully with the western look if you’re looking to combine the two trends.
